Stress Free Money Life - How to Find Peace and Harmony

Hi Reader,

I know what it's like to feel stressed and overwhelmed, like you're in a daze. Staring at a video on your phone, but don’t seem to see anything.

“If only I could wipe away my debt, I wouldn’t feel this way” is your only thought.

You might feel like you're not in control of your life, and your happiness is out of reach. For a long time I thought I would be happier if I had more money.

But I'm here to tell you that money alone is not the only key to your happiness and less stress.

I want to share 4 keys to unleashing your inner happiness and beat stress for good.

Key 1: Identify Your Stressors

Start by finding out what's bugging you. We call these things "stressors." It could be a person, place or thing that is causing the problem.

Sudden job loss or career transitions can disrupt financial stability and create stress. Supporting a family and managing household expenses can be overwhelming.

Unexpected medical bills or home repairs can strain finances and cause stress. I live in a hurricane zone. So, hurricane season is always a stressor for me.

I am locked in on the weather report during the season. Create a list of the situations that make you feel worried or stressed.

Once you know what's causing you stress, you can start to develop strategies for coping with it.

Key 2: Take Control of Your Time

Managing time can be a real challenge. Daily events condition us to always be in a hurry.

So our to-do list is always full. For me, I don’t enjoy hurrying or multitasking.

Here's how you can control your time:

Set Priorities : Not all tasks are super important. Make a list, figure out what is urgent, and tackle those first. The rest can wait or go to someone else.

Learn to Say No: Don't spread yourself too thin. If it's not crucial, say "no." Your well-being comes first, and that's okay.

Take Breaks: Remember to chill out during the day. Take proper lunch breaks. It'll help you stay sharp and productive.

Key 3: Understand Your Money Beliefs

Money is a link to everything. Your financial goals become easier when you discover the “WHY” behind your behavior.

Your relationship with money started in childhood. Society, marketing efforts and other people influence your money decisions.

Money beliefs impact how you manage money, causing stress or leading to happiness. Negative beliefs can cause you to overspend, not save, or feel bad about every money decision.

On the flip side, a positive money belief can bring true happiness into your life.

Key 4: Practice Emotional Control/Intelligence

Unfortunately, it takes time and effort to improve your emotional control. I started training myself to pay attention to the present moment without judgment.

I know my stressors and remind myself to focus on the positive. This helps me to calm my mind and reduce stress levels. Give it a try, you may like it.

Final Thoughts

Feeling stressed and overwhelmed is something we all go through. It's like carrying a heavy load in your heart, right? And sometimes, having more money will fix it all.

But, it's not always about money. I've shared these four keys to help you unlock your inner happiness and kick stress to the curb.

I want you to believe you've got the power to make life less stressful and more awesome. You can do it.

Photo by Canva Hi Reader, As STEM professionals we live in a world of logic. Sometimes we forget to tune into our heartfelt and real emotions, mainly when it comes to personal growth. Data says most of us give up on our personal goals by February. But I don’t need stats to tell me that. I’ve seen and lived it. Last year a friend had a big goal to lose weight. He had a solid plan. He knew the logic: health problems = time to change. He got a walking buddy. He bought a stationary bike. He even...

Photo by Canva Hi Reader, Have you ever bought something unplanned and later wondered, Why did I do that? I walked into a big box store for one small tool. Somehow I spent $110.00. Damn… impulse spending sneaks up on us. Retailers know exactly how to make it happen. I know, I am not alone on this. Impulse spending isn’t just about money, it’s about psychology. Our brain is wired to seek instant gratification. Oftentimes at the cost of long-term financial health. The Psychology Behind Impulse...

Photo by Canva Hi Reader, Chemists know that a reaction can be safe and controlled or dangerous and explosive. Using the wrong ingredients, or overheating can trigger a chain reaction that’s hard to stop. Debt works the same way. At first, it seems harmless to take out a loan, use a credit card, or finance a new car. But if you don’t manage it properly, it grows faster than you expect. Before you know it, you're struggling to keep up with payments. And your financial situation feels out of...
